My Visit to Cathedral del Duomo

When I walked into this Cathedral I got the expience of a lifetime. I am going to try and describe this indescribable feeling that I got and the indescribable surroundings that gave my it.

The moment I walked through the door I felt a chill run up my spine while I let out a long deep breath. It was dark and sort of, well, spooky, yet at the same time relaxing and enchanting. It was extreamly peacefull and in a way full of life. I stood there taking a few deep breaths. The air was much different. Not only was it clean of smoke it, it, well it had pureness to it, it was cool and refreshing.

I looked around me and the first thing I notice was the huge marble pillers standing peacefully in rows. This round pillers were about fifteen feet wide and who knows how many feet tall.

The main section of the cathedral.

(Since you can't see the pillers well, I thought I would tell you there is a light halfway up most of the pillers.)

After looking at this is awe, I started walking around through the smaller surrounding sections. I saw statues of Mary and Jesus and every size of stain glass from four to fifty feet tall.

(I took many picture but it was too dark, so most didn't come out at all. I did put the ones that sort of came out on this page to give you a feeling of what it was like but you cant see a lot because of the darkness. Sorry.)
